ER chuck is a cylindrical fixture used to hold drilling and tapping tools or milling tools installed on the spindle of drilling, tapping, milling machines or machining centers.

It is also called ER collet which can also be used to fix and reinforce parts that need to be modified and processed as a fixed locking device.

ER spring chuck has large clamping force, wide clamping range and good precision. Widely used in boring, milling, drilling, tapping, grinding and engraving processing. ER chuck is a type of spring chuck, generally used with CNC tool holders.
